Bigfoot Surveys is a property of DreamlockMR Private Limited (incorporated in India) and DreamlockMR LLC(United States) — together "DreamlockMR", "we", "us". This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it. We act as a data controller for panel members and process data in line with the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and comparable laws.

1. Data we collect

  • Account: name, email, password (hashed), country (detected from your IP).
  • Profile: the demographic, household, employment and lifestyle details you choose to provide to be matched to surveys.
  • Activity: surveys started/completed, rewards earned, payout requests.
  • Technical & anti-fraud: IP address, approximate location, device and browser signals used to verify you are a unique, genuine respondent.

2. How we use it

To operate your account, match you to relevant studies, pay your rewards, detect and prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and (with your consent) send you survey alerts. We rely on contract, legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service operation) and consent (marketing, non-essential cookies) as our legal bases.

3. Sharing & processors

Survey responses are shared with the research client that commissioned the study, in aggregated or de-identified form wherever possible. We never sell your personal data. We rely on a small number of vetted processors, each under a data-processing agreement:

  • Hostinger — cloud hosting of the platform and database.
  • Brevo — transactional email delivery (verification, password reset, notifications).
  • TrustedMR — fraud/quality screening (IP, approximate location, device signals).

Page translation is performed on our own servers and is not sent to any third-party translation service.

4. International transfers

As a global panel we may transfer data across borders. Where we do, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent mechanisms.

5. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed for legal, accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, which removes your profile and personal data.

6. Your rights

You may access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Members can download their data and delete their account directly under Profile → Account settings, or email privacy@bigfootsurveys.com.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted over HTTPS, and access to personal data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

8. Children

The panel is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. It is not intended for minors, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Accounts found to belong to minors are removed.
